The Living Room forms part of the re-development of the historic Oxford castle heritage site in the centre of Oxford. It remains a firm favourite amongst Oxford's discerning diners and those seeking high quality fresh food and cocktails in a stylish environment.
Join us for a leisurely or working lunch, afternoon meetings or simply recharge your batteries after a hard day shopping! Our A la carte menu is available from noon until 10pm everyday and if you arrive early evening you can enjoy the soothing sound of our resident pianist tinkling the ivories on our legendary baby grand. The stylish bar and restaurant is ideal for sipping one of our delicious and original cocktails with friends or enjoying fantastic food with like-minded dining enthusiasts, prepared freshly from scratch everyday.

The Main Restaurant
The main restaurant can seat parties of up to 180 guests, large party bookings are welcome at no extra cost but for parties of 10+ we recommend you dine from a set menu and parties of 6 or more are subject to a 10% discretionary service charge.
Table 1
Our private dining table; Table 1 seats up to 10 people. Partitioned off from the buzz of the main dining room with glass and wood paneled walls, it’s the perfect hideaway for intimate family meals and ideal for business dinners or meetings. This much sought after table is available for no extra cost.
The Study
Our private members bar, lavishly decorated with a funky and chic theme, holds up to 86 people. A Study gathering can be just drinks and canapés or a full finger buffet. In addition AV, live music, DJs, can be arranged to enhance your function / event.
We also offer cocktail making classes held by our expert bartenders in The Study, available for groups of 6-20, they’re a great idea for hen or stag parties at £30 per guest.
The Study is available for private hire throughout the week!
The Roof Terrace
Our beautiful roof terrace is open daily for lunch (May - September) offering one of the only places for alfresco dining within the city centre. Featuring aerial views of the city it can seat parties of up to 20 for sit down meals and up to 100 for canape/ finger buffet functions. The roof also features a mobile bar for cocktail parties and the option to have acoustic musicians. The Roof Terrace can be privately hired for any occasion at the same minimum spend tariff as The Study, and because we can’t guarantee the wonderful British weather your party will have The Study on standby for no extra charge.
