We stopped in twice on Saturday for cocktails because they make the best cocktails on Edinburgh. On another note compared to trendy bars either side also the best value for money. Amazing vanilla French martini!!

Had lunch here mid Saturday, staff incredibly friendly and attentive, even taking a broken glass, knocked prior to eating, with humour and professionalism. Meals very well priced and in line with surrounding venues. Presentation and cleanliness is of a very high standard, lots of tables, but no feeling of being overcrowded.

Recommended by a friend for our first time in Edinburgh. We booked an hour before online which was straight forward and gave you the options for times. On arriving we went to get drinks and then were shown to our table. We went direct to main courses and I ordered the fillet steak and my husband ordered the burger. The steak was the best steak I have ever tasted - as I am a habit of creature I eat a lot of steak. The peppercorn sauce was subtle and flavoursome. For pudding I chose the crème brule and my husband ordered the chocolate truffle cake and honeycomb ice cream, both were beautiful. The waiting staff were attentive and the food was delivered promptly. We would highly recommend The Living Room.

An excellent place to eat,staff were really nice and surroundings were top notch.Only 1 street away from Rose Street and the famous pub crawl.All food and drinks were reasonable priced for the part of Edinburgh you are in.

Had a wonderful lunch made all the better by the wonderfully attentive waiting staff
We were greeted by a charming young man called Tom whom we have met before on
another visit nothing was too much trouble for him he makes you feel extremely comfortable
and right at home. Our waitress recommended some specials that were on offer which we
decided to try and were not left disappointed. This was followed by the most amazing sticky
toffee pudding that I have ever tasted. Would highly recommend this place the staff really
are super efficient smiley friendly and nothing really is too much trouble.

'A Great Evening Had By All' Reviewed 20th Sept

I visited this restaurant once before so had no hesitation to bring along my friends. We booked ahead a few hours earlier without difficulty. This bar/restaurant is modern and trendy. A pianist plays in bar area. The menu is inventive and good value for money. Our waitress Sarah was attentive and friendly! This was perfect evening for a relaxing girls night out, food and a few cocktails in the bar after!
