SPARKOXFORD

Posted by The Living Room Oxford

Sparkoxford is launching its first true story telling event on Monday, January 30th in The Living Room, Oxford Castle.
The subject for January is ‘Eccentricity.

We are calling it the Sharkspark event, because Bill Heine, of Radio Oxford, will be present and hopefully will be telling a story, and who could be more eccentric than a man with a shark plunging through his roof..

Joanna Yates started Sparklondon some years ago and the events, which take place once a month, are enormous fun. Past subjects have, among many others, been ‘The kindness of strangers’ ‘Land, sea and water,’ and ‘Transition.’

The story tellers and the audience get a chance to meet each other, mingle and make new friends before and after the show..

The event consists of people telling true stories of approximately five minutes, without a script to an audience.

For this first Sparkoxford event, there will be no charge, but the audience will be invited to pay what they think it was worth at the end.

There is a bar where you can buy drinks and if you wish, a meal beforehand.
